Today I’m planning to write about some of the paid to blog sites. These sites are also called paid to write reviews, write reviews and earn money, Blog to earn money, paid review sites, earn money blogging, paid posts, paid reviews. Different people call them in different ways. But the main intention is that the advertisers try to build BUZZ for their sites and the Bloggers will earn money by writing reviews for the sites.

Many Advertisers tell that they need honest reviews but none of them accepts when you write bad about their products. Only a few may be 1 in 100 will accept the facts. many of them just don’t mind about the content, they just look for backlinks. The main intention of writing reviews is to get backlinks.

The main factors Advertisers consider about the Blogs are PageRank, Alexa rank, Technorati rank, Traffic, RSS Readers, Originality of the Content. I had observed that advertisers give top rank for PageRank. But we need to keep in mind that PR is used only by Google. So it is better to consider all the things rather than just the PageRank.

So now we shall discuss the main story for today. I’ll write about some of the paid to write sites that I had used in the past. I’ll try to write my opinion about those sites.

PayPerPost.com - I started writing reviews in my blogs with PPP. I feel this is the top site in Paid to write reviews section. getting in to PPP is also very easy. You need to have a Blog at least 1 month old with around 10 posts in the last 30 days. if you have original content then you will be definitely accepted for their program. The main thing they consider is the PageRank. You can also install a code which will track your page loads and give you a rank called RealRank. There are some assignments based on the RealRank(But you get them occasionally). The sad thing about PPP is that there are more opportunities for US demographic. Payment time is 30 days.

SponsoredReviews.com - After PayPerPost I love Sponsored Reviews. I love this site because you can BID on the reviews that you write. Moreover you also get 7 days to complete your reviews. Here you will be paid every 2 weeks. Here you can get just 65% of the bid amount.

Smorty.com - This was one of my favorite Paid to write reviews site. I said “was” because these days I could not see much opportunities from them. When I started with Smorty I was earning around $50 -$100 every week with just 2 Blogs. Now with 6 Blogs I can only make $100-$150 every month :-). They were paying once in a week when they started but now they are paying once in 2 weeks. Recently they had also started a new PPC program called Digxa.

LoudLaunch.com - I don’t really understand them. Sometimes you get many opportunities and sometimes there will be a dry period for more than a week or two. They generally pay $15 for each article. In the starting months I just made around $50 each month. But this month I was able to make $480. That’s really damn good. You need to constantly check out for the new opportunities.

Blogsvertise.com - This was also one of my favorite sites some time back. They had many times rejected my Blog posts without much information. So I got fed up with them and was not writing reviews for them But most of the tasks pay you $10. You can only take 1 review every day.

I even used some other programs like Bloggingads.com, Reviewme.com, BlogToProfit.com, BloggersWave.com but I wasn’t liking them much.

If you are planning to start a Blog then you should think of Technorati Ranking. Technorati ranking is considered by many people to be your Blog rank. Technorati gives ranking to Blogs which is related with Technorati Authority. So if your Technorati Authority is more then you get a better rank in Technorati.

Technorati Authority is the number of Blogs that link to you in the past 180 days. So the Blog with the top Links get the top rank and the next blogs get the later ranks.

It is very easy to get your site/blog added to Technorati. You just have to sign-up for an account and add your Blog. You can add your Blog by writing a test post or entering your user name and password. Technorati collects the data from your Blog and updates it in it’s site. If you are using Wordpress then you can use the automatic ping technology to notify whenever you write a new post in your Blog. You can also favorite a Blog in Technorati.

Many people think that just adding a blog to favorite list increases the Technorati Authority but that is false. Your Technorati Authority increases only when some one links to your Blog.

If you are planning to write reviews on your blogs then Technorati ranking will help you a lot. If your Technorati ranking is good then you get more reviews to write.

So to improve your Technorati ranking you need more blogs in Technorati linking to you. The best way to increase your Technorati ranking is to ask your friends to link your Blog. You can also write comments on the Do-Follow sites which will help you to get a backlink.

The Main Story

Blogger or Wordpress? Which platform should I use? This is the question in many people’s mind. Even though there are many other Blogging platforms like Movable Type, Drupal, LiveJournal most of them prefer to use either Wordpress or Blogger. So I guess it would be enough if we just take Blogger and Wordpress into consideration.

The Geek Things

If you are a newbie and don’t have much technical stuff then I suggest you to use Blogger. Moreover Blogger is completely free. You just need a Gmail ID and few minutes to setup a Blog in Blogger. There are many good things about Blogger when we think of ease of use. You need not know much technology or Programming skills to use Blogger.

If you are a technical geek ( Even I’m not a technical geek but I use Wordpress ;-) ) then you can think of using Wordpress. Wordpress offers many advanced features. There are lots and lots of Wordpress plug-ins which you can use to customize your Blog the way you love. There are many people who are developing many useful plug-ins for Wordpress.

Are there any Good Themes?

When you think of Themes there are only a few themes for Blogger in the initial Days. But now there are more and more themes coming for Blogger also.

Can I Place Advertisements?

If you are planning for Advertisements then you have to go for either Blogger or Hosted Wordpress as Wordpress.com doesn’t allow Advertisements for free accounts. You can take a VIP account if you plan to place advertisements in Wordpress.com. With Blogger you can easily create an Adsense account and integrate with your Blog.

So the Final Thing !

Wordpress is better than Blogger for developers and geeks who want to explore more. But Wordpress.com is really worse than Blogger. Choose Wordpress only when you are planning to set up your own hosting.
